Moment of Youth Pledge, Semen Gresik Encourages Millennials to Clean Water Source & Care about The Environment
Rembang, October 27th, 2023 – In commemoration of the Youth Pledge Day, PT Semen Gresik collaborated with the young generation of villages around the company and held a sapta charm action of Sendang Brubulan Water Source in Pasucen Village, Gunem District, Rembang Regency (27/10).
The activity with the theme "Reresik Bareng Semen Gresik in Sendang Brubulan Pasucen" was attended by more than 50 participants consisting of young people from Pasucen Village Youth Organization, Gegunung Community from the youth organizations of Dowan, Suntri, Tegaldowo, Timbrangan, and representatives of PT Semen Gresik Rembang Factory employees.
Senior Manager of Communication & CSR PT Semen Gresik, Dharma Sunyata, said that in commemoration of the Youth Pledge Day, this activity could be a milestone in the movement of the young generation's empathy for the environment.
"The action to clean the Sendang Brubulan water source is an effort to invite all elements of society to maintain and preserve the environment around their respective residences," he explained.
He added, that Sendang Brubulan is a water source that is utilized by the surrounding residents for their daily needs. Semen Gresik is present to provide support in facilitating facilities and infrastructure whose management is handed over to the youth organization and Pasucen Village Government.
"Hopefully, this activity can be interpreted and become a common concern, so that it can provide benefits for the village community and its surroundings," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Pasucen Village Youth Organization, Yuliar Rahmandani, said that through the moment of commemoration of this youth oath day, the Pasucen Village Youth organization, the Dolan Nggunung community, and representatives from PT Semen Gresik moved together to beautify the Sendang Brubulan water source area.
"We thank you very much for the full support of Semen Gresik who has helped the facilities and infrastructure in the management of this water source, hopefully, it can help and be utilized by residents," he concluded.
